It's been awhile since we last had an update. We wrote 4 news songs in 2019 only to begin this year slowing down and heading towards new changes. Finding ways to live life normally and still create ballads that move us. Finding ways to live real life and putting those experiences into our lyrics. This will be a challenge when most of our songs are about close relationships with one another. When all this is over, will normal feel okay again? We'll miss performing around LA cafes for a long while. We'll miss sharing our songs intimately. We'll miss hearing personally from those who don't know us that they like songs we write. We'll definitely miss what it feels like to touch, hold and kiss someone we desire. When we write about these feelings, we'll have to imagine them now. We'll steer clear of feeling any attraction as we walk down empty streets avoiding anyone's gaze, only to glance every now and then up ahead at how close we are getting towards home. Where we will then isolate ourselves in our thoughts and become mindful of the sounds from the outside world, tuirning inward to create, rebuild, learn and live an introspective life. Maybe even grieve once in a while for the life we had. Similar to what we would do after a breakup or a broken heart.
Our apologies for the stream of consciousness writing. We're disappointed in the short future of miss opportunities to move you with our sad songs.
Anyway. Wish we had new news. Change of plans had us postponing sessions. Delaying mixing and editing a country ballad for a release this March. We are looking to release a new electronic pop song soon under the Luc Pong project. If we can figure out how to record musicians remotely. Promise to keep you all posted. Until then, we hope to fill this year up with more wrirting. If life returns to normal someday, then we'll have a batch of new songa to perform and feel brand new again. Like it used to be.
